Sesame is MY chick, and she is super sweet… to humans that is! We compare her to a “popular high school girl” because everyone agrees that she looks the most “beautiful because of her mature-ish looking face”, and she is so far on the top of the pecking order.
This is Connie, Hadley’s chick. Connie is the airhead, sleep-all-the-time-and-even-on-a-water-tower-thing, dumb chick that is everyone’s favorite (besides their own that is)
Mickey is short for McNugget and Mickey is a SPAZ! She likes to run away and just spaz… Isabel’s chick.
Periwinkle, or Perri, is the pooper. She poops in hands, and all the time! Also a little bit of a spaz if i do say so myself.
SO THOSE ARE FOUR OUT OF NINE OF OUR CHICKENS!
i love mine to death already! and Connie… you gotta love Connie!

YES! I am so excited! Because this is the last week until the chickens come!! Jigglypuff… You can meet Daddy soon! We are buildiing the chicken coop this coming weekend and i am so excited because it is gonna be so much fun! (and the coolest chicken coop EVER!) So yeah, i cant wait! I am anxiously waiting for a baby chick to arrive at the FedEx Store and then have them call us and we sprint out the door and go to the FedEx place and GET OUR CHICKS!!!!! AHHH!!! HOOORAY!! Then we will all live so happily together!
I love this time in my life!! its like… a fantastic chicken sandwich just waiting to be eaten and you love chicken sandwiches so its really exciting! That made absolutely NO SENSE! haha OH MY GOSH I JUST REALIZED HIW MEAN THAT WAS!! A CHICKEN SANDWICH BEING COMPARED TO ACTUAL PET CHICKENS!!! sorry bad analogy!! the date

our chickens will be arriving at the FedEx store from November 14 to November 17! Until then we have to get ready!! We have been working on a pen-type-thing for when they are too big for the tub thing and not ready for the coop. We are going to start building the coop probably next weekend!
The coop is going to be a regular coop, but we are gonna decorate it and paint it and make it super awesome!!

In The Beginning…

Welcome! So, the reason for this blog is to show the journey of the chickens that me and my friends will be getting, and also the building of the coop and everything in between!
So my friend Hadley and her older sister “Sissy” have been wanting to build a chicken coop in their backyard and get some chickens. Me and another one of my friends were at their house and we found out and asked if we could help build the coop (because who wouldn’t want to help build a sweet chicken coop?!?) then, they said “YOU GUYS COULD GET A CHICKEN AND KEEP IT IN OUR COOP!!!!!” and we got so excited!!!
We then realized that it will take some work and effort [two things I am not fond of] to convince the parents to let us. So, we went to the library and got eight chicken books! I had to leave after that but they went back to Hadley an Sissy’s house and started a presentation with facts and stuff. I went home and figured out how much $$$ we will save per year not buying eggs at the grocery store.
The next day [today] I went over again and read books on chickens and we planned out cool things to do with the chicken coop [like wrote something with moss on the chicken coop, and a chandelier with Xmas lights on it!]
